Claire Hoad, Bsc (Psych.), Dip. Couns. (CPCAB), MBACP (registered)

I am a qualified, and BACP registered counsellor working with young people and adults offering both long term and short term therapy. I have worked as a 1:1 counsellor for Wiltshire Mind for several years and also Olive Branch Counselling.

I can offer help with a range of areas including :

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Bereavement
  • Trauma
  • Abuse
  • Eating disorders
  • Bipolar disorder – and many more.

However, I like to see beyond labels and look towards the whole person underneath.

I offer a warm and gentle approach to counselling. Beginning from a Person Centred place, I work in a responsive and integrative way – taking the feel of what you need as the guide.

I believe that the relationship between counsellor and client holds the power to heal and make change possible. Together we begin a journey, building the trust between us as we go along. We discover your inner resources and strengths, and might uncover hidden patterns of relating and behaving. This can bring about an understanding of the Self. This process can take time, so I offer an open ended form of counselling, where the counselling space is yours for as long as you need it.

The next step is to email me and we can set up an initial session at a mutually agreeable time. At this first session, we can talk together about what your expectations and goals are. If we both feel that we can work together, further sessions can be set up from there.

I am a registered member of the BACP, so adhere to their code of ethics.
